The RC ERA C189S is a 1:28 scale, 6-channel remote control helicopter with a flybarless single-rotor design. Its dual brushless motors, 6-axis gyro, barometric altitude hold, optical flow positioning and three digital metal servos are designed to provide stable, precise flight control. The scale airframe can also be used as a display model.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this C189S include optical flow positioning?
Yes. This C189S configuration includes optical flow positioning together with barometric altitude hold.
Is it suitable for beginners?
The 6-axis gyro, 6G mode, altitude hold, optical flow positioning, one-key takeoff and one-key landing are designed to make stable flight easier. The recommended age is 14 years and over.
How does the RC ERA C189S compare with the RC ERA C180?
In Mitch Cooper RC's hands-on comparison, both helicopters flew and handled very similarly. He personally preferred the C180 mainly for its styling and the way its body appears slightly larger, not because the C189S performed worse. Choose between them mainly by the scale design you prefer.
Has the RC ERA C189S improved flight stability compared with the original C189?
In his RC ERA C189S review, Andrej Sturm reported that the original C189 stability and control issues were mostly resolved on his test model, with no toilet-bowl circling observed. He still wanted finer rudder response. These observations describe his tested model and flying conditions.
